Buyback & burn
Every crate pays a small fee in SOL. That SOL buys $LURE on the open market, and every $LURE bought is burned on the blockchain: destroyed for good, so the total supply of $LURE goes down. It runs on its own, at a random minute of every ….
All numbers on this page come straight from the game server's settings, so they are always the ones in use.
1. Where the SOL comes from
Each crate bought costs its $LURE price plus a fee of US$ … paid in SOL (at the live SOL price), in the same transaction. That fee goes to the burn wallet:
not set yet
- It receives only the crate SOL fees. The $LURE price of the crate is split as always (treasury and team, see the litepaper), and the Tide Pass, the Dive Master and the claim fee are not part of the burn.
- It is a separate wallet. It never holds treasury or Reef pot money, and the game refuses to start the burn if it is set to any other game wallet.
- It can only do two things: buy $LURE with its own SOL (into itself) and burn that $LURE. It never sends anything to anyone.
2. When it runs: a random minute
Time is cut into windows of … minutes (starting at :00, :15, :30 and :45 UTC), … a day.
- For each window, the server picks one minute inside it with a cryptographic random number and stores it. It is never shown before it happens, not even on this site.
- The buyback runs only at that minute, and at most once per window, even if the server checks twice at the same moment.
- Why random: if everyone knew the exact minute of a buy, traders could buy just before it and sell into it. A secret random minute makes that guesswork.
- If the server misses that minute (for example, a short outage), the window is skipped and the SOL simply waits for the next one.
3. How much each run buys
- Take the burn wallet's SOL balance and keep … SOL aside for network fees and token-account rent.
- If what is left is below … SOL, nothing happens this window ("skipped: too small"): the fees roll over to the next one.
- Otherwise, buy $LURE with it, but never more than … SOL per run. Anything above that waits for the next windows.
So at most … SOL of buybacks can happen in a day; big buys are spread out instead of moving the price at once.
4. The safety checks on every buy
The swap goes through Jupiter, which reaches $LURE on the pump.fun bonding curve and, after $LURE graduates, in its PumpSwap pool. Before anything is signed:
| Check | Limit |
|---|---|
| The token bought must be $LURE (the official contract) | exact match, else the run stops |
| Slippage (how far the price may move while the swap lands) | at most … |
| Price impact of the buy | at most …, else the run stops |
| Price compared with the blockchain itself (the curve or the pool), fees included | at least … of the on-chain price |
| Test run of the exact transaction before sending (simulation) | the wallet may lose only the planned SOL plus network costs, must receive at least the minimum $LURE, and nobody else may get any right over it |
Amounts are counted in whole units (lamports and the token's smallest unit), never rounded.
5. The burn
Right after the buy, every $LURE in the burn wallet is burned with the Solana token program's burn instruction. The tokens are not sent to a "dead" address: they stop existing, and the token's total supply on chain drops by exactly that amount. Anyone can check it on the $LURE token page on Solscan.
6. When something fails
- The buy fails (no route, a check above, or the network): nothing is spent. It is tried again in the next window, never in a fast loop.
- The buy works but the burn fails: the $LURE stays in the burn wallet and the next window only burns (no new buy) until it is gone.
- Every run, including skipped and failed ones, is recorded by the game.
7. Every burn, live

Nothing is promised
Burning makes the supply smaller, but it does not set or protect the price of $LURE, which can still go down. The amount burned depends on how many crates are opened. Only play with money you can afford to lose.
