Lurkies Litepaper

Version 1 · October 2026 · changelog

1. What is Lurkies

Lurkies is a game on Solana. Storms keep dragging old shipwreck crates to the bottom of the sea, and you haul them up and pry them open. Inside each crate is a Lurky, a squishy, bubble-shaped sea critter that lurks in the deep and can never resist a shiny lure. It dives in your Reef to gather the $LURE token for you. You open crates, get Lurkies, send them diving and claim what they gathered. Every Lurky is an NFT in your own wallet.

You log in with your wallet (Phantom, MetaMask, Solflare or Backpack) by signing a message — it is not a transaction and costs nothing. To pay you need $LURE and a little SOL for the network fee. The game's code is open source (AGPL-3.0) and can be read on the site.

2. How to play in 5 steps

  1. Connect your Solana wallet (Phantom, MetaMask, Solflare or Backpack) — you just sign a message, it costs nothing.
  2. Buy crates with $LURE. Each crate gives 1 Lurky (a little sea critter that is your NFT).
  3. Your Lurkies dive on their own and get a share of the Reef pot every day — the bigger the Haul, the bigger the share.
  4. When a Lurky runs out of air, it floats up to the surface and naps; then you send it back down. Bubble Domes refill its air faster.
  5. Claim your $LURE whenever you want. Level up your Lurkies, complete Currents or sell on the Fish Market.

3. The $LURE token

  • Buyback & burn: the SOL fee paid with every crate goes to a separate burn wallet, buys $LURE at a random minute of every window and burns it on chain, so the supply only goes down. How it works, its limits and every burn: Buyback & burn.
  • Burn Race: the crates' SOL fees fill a bar; when it is full, every crate bought is doubled for a few hours (only bought crates). Rules and every race: Burn Race.
  • Whale airdrop: at a random moment of every period, each wallet holding at least a set share of the $LURE supply gets one free Rare crate. Rules and exclusions: Airdrops.
  • Launches on pump.fun (1 billion tokens, no new ones can be created). The only official contract is the one shown on this site.
  • The developer is the first in and the last out: an initial buy when the token is created, with those tokens locked in a public lock (the link is on the site).
  • The team's share (10% of everything players pay) goes to the team wallet. When the team sells, it sends tokens to a public sale wallet that sells little by little, in small sales at no fixed time. Both wallets and every sale are on the Transparency page.

4. The golden rule

Everything a player pays in the game — crates, Bubble Domes, upgrade fees and Fish Market fees — is always split the same way:

  • 10% team
  • 10% liquidity pool
  • 80% Reef pot (this is what pays the divers)

5. Crates and Lurkies

  • Crate: 100,000 $LURE (fixed price in tokens, but never more than US$ 5: if the token goes up a lot, a crate costs fewer tokens; Bubble Domes work the same way, each with its own cap) + about 0.004 SOL that pays the creation of the NFT. Buy 1, 5 or 10 at once and open up to 10 at once. Every crate gives 1 Lurky. Lucky Current: after 29 crates in a row without a Rare (or better), the next one is a guaranteed Rare or better — the screen shows how many are left.
  • Each Lurky is born with a random lung size within its rarity's range. Air = lung size × 50. A new Lurky starts diving right away.

6. The 39 Lurkies

There are 8 Currents of 4 Lurkies (one Common, one Uncommon, one Special and one Rare) + 4 Epic + 3 Legendary. Owning the 4 of the same Current gives a bonus (see “Making Lurkies stronger”).

7. The Reef

  • The Reef pot receives 80% of everything players pay and starts empty: it grows with every purchase, from the very first crate.
  • Every day the Reef releases 6% of what is in the pot, shared among everyone who is diving, by Haul: your earnings = (your Haul ÷ everyone's Haul) × 6% of the pot per day. That is why the pot never runs out: if sales go down, payouts go down too. The game shows live how much 100 Haul earns per day.
  • You build your dive team with up to 15 Lurkies, one per dive spot (in My Lurkies). Only the dive team dives and appears in the Reef; the others wait in reserve. To bring in another one when the team is full, take one out first.
  • The Leaderboard shows the biggest divers (total Haul of their Lurkies).

8. Air, naps and Bubble Domes

  • Diving uses air (see the table in “Crates and Lurkies”: stronger Lurkies use it faster). Out of air, a Lurky floats up to the surface and naps; once its air is full, it waits for you to send it back down.
  • Outside a Bubble Dome a Lurky gets 1 air back per minute. Inside a Bubble Dome, much faster. You choose which dive-team Lurkies nap in each dome; a new dome fills itself with your strongest dive-team Lurkies. Every Bubble Dome is also an NFT in your wallet (+ ~0.004 SOL when you buy it) and can be sold on the Lurkies Fish Market.

9. Making Lurkies stronger

  • Level up: only Rare, Epic and Legendary Lurkies level up (up to level 5). It needs an exact copy of the same Lurky at the same level (to reach level 3, another level 2) + pearls + a $LURE fee. The copy is really burned (the NFT disappears). A Lurky for sale cannot be used.
  • Haul per level — Rare 10 → 26 → 57 → 137 → 356 · Epic 20 → 48 → 106 → 254 → 660 · Legendary 27 → 62 → 136 → 326 → 848.
  • To reach level 2, 3, 4 and 5: pearls 20 · 32 · 48 · 64 and a fee of 20% · 40% · 70% · 100% of the crate price.
  • Pearls: Common, Uncommon and Special Lurkies can be released to the sea (the NFT is burned) for 1, 2 or 4 pearls.
  • Complete Current: owning 1 Common, 1 Uncommon, 1 Special and 1 Rare of the SAME Current (4 different Lurkies; 4 Commons do not count; none of them for sale) gives +10 Haul to one of them while it dives. The Current with an Epic only (Coral Reef): with the Epic, +20. Currents with an Epic and a Legendary (Pirate Cove, The Abyss, Polar Sea): with the Epic, +20; with the Epic and the Legendary, +40.

10. Fish Market

  • Lurkies can only be traded on the Lurkies Fish Market: the NFT stays in your wallet but cannot be sent to other wallets or sold on other sites. Only the game moves the NFT (when it is sold) or burns it (level up, release to the sea). This protects the game from bots and scams.
  • To sell, you pick the price (minimum 1,000 $LURE) and sign the sale in your wallet. The buyer pays the seller directly; the 10% fee follows the golden rule. The game never holds the seller's money.
  • A Lurky for sale does not dive. While someone is paying for it, the listing is locked (nobody can cancel or buy it at the same time).

11. Anchor Keys, referrals and liquidity

  • 1 Anchor Key unlocks 1 free crate. Every new Lurky becomes an NFT in your wallet: the crate is free and you only pay the Lurky creation fee, US$ 0.20 in SOL (also for prizes: codes, guaranteed Common Lurky, pre-registration, Reef Run and the Pass). A bought crate already includes the creation.
  • Referrals: for every 15 crates the friends who joined through your link buy — all of them added together — you get 1 Anchor Key, with no limit (15 friends with 1 crate each = 1 key; 150 crates = 10 keys). The panel shows how many crates are left for the next key and celebrates every key that arrives.
  • Liquidity tab: whoever holds PumpSwap $LURE-SOL liquidity in their own wallet (the same as in the game) shares, every 5 minutes, the keys of the day (set by the team; 50 a day to start) and what the liquidity pool releases (10% of itself per day, in $LURE), by the liquidity of each one. Each key can come as 2 pearls. Only liquidity worth at least US$ 10 that stays between two readings (5 minutes) counts; taking it all out starts the count again. The list of providers is public. The game never holds your money.

12. Reef Run: the Lurkies' bomb game (coming soon)

Reef Run opens after the launch. Its rules and prizes will be published here when it opens.

In Reef Run you take a Lurky down the Reef Trail through a bomb maze: blow up bricks, grab power-ups, ride mounts, beat monsters and bosses and reach the exit portal. It is what gives Anchor Keys to good players.

  • The Reef Trail: 5 worlds × 5 stages (the 5th of each world is a boss) = 25 stages. Clearing a stage opens the next one; you can go back to any stage already open. Each stage has 5 minutes; in the last 30 s “HURRY UP!” starts and blocks fall and close the map.
  • Prizes, ONCE per stage: every stage cleared for the first time gives 🧩 1 key fragment (10 fragments become 1 key by themselves) and every boss beaten for the first time gives 🔑 1 Anchor Key. On the whole trail: 25 fragments + 5 keys. Replaying a stage pays nothing again.
  • Rare surprises in the bricks: a whole key or pearls (better chances with rarer Lurkies, higher levels and deeper worlds). They only count if you clear the stage; limits: 1 key a week and 10 pearls a day.
  • To play for prizes: have 1 Lurky (any rarity) and US$ 10 worth of $LURE in your wallet, checked at the start and at the end of every run (the tokens stay yours). Practice, with no prizes, is free for everyone.
  • Each try uses 50 of the Lurky's air (the same air it uses in the Reef). A Lurky that is diving or out of air cannot play. You can refill a Lurky's air with $LURE once every 24 hours (the price follows the golden rule).
  • Prizes count per wallet AND per Lurky: selling the Lurky to another wallet does not unlock the prizes again.
  • Die: the stage starts over and you lose your power-ups and mount. Clear it: what you had goes with you to the next stage.
  • Every run is replayed by the server from the buttons you pressed: only what really happened counts, cheating does not work. 🏆 Leaderboard with the best scores.

13. Tide Pass

30-day seasons with 30 levels (100 XP each). XP only comes from what the game confirms on its server: open a crate +60, Reef Run stage +120, boss +250, a Bubble Defense run +50 (once a day), daily visit +30, daily claim +40 — at most 400 XP a day.

  • FREE track for everyone: pearls and key fragments on some levels.
  • PREMIUM track for US$ 20 in $LURE (converted at the current quote, following the golden rule: 10% team · 10% liquidity · 80% Reef) + a US$ 0.20 fee in SOL: key fragments, Anchor Keys, pearls, Air Tanks (full air at once for 1 Lurky), 1 guaranteed Common Lurky at level 10 and 1 guaranteed RARE LURKY at level 30. Estimated value of the prizes: about US$ 186.
  • Bought mid-season: the premium prizes of the levels already reached unlock at once. Each prize is taken once.
  • Prize Lurkies (Common and Rare) also pay only the US$ 0.20 creation fee in SOL.

14. Claiming

  • Every claim has a claim fee of 0.02 SOL, paid from your wallet to the team wallet (it funds the game); the $LURE go straight to your wallet. If the claim cannot go out right away, the paid fee is kept for the next one. Minimum 1,000 $LURE per claim.
  • Daily safety limits: 10 million $LURE per wallet and 50 million for the whole game. Anything above waits for the next day — nothing is lost.

15. Transparency: where every $LURE goes

On the Transparency page (/transparency) anyone can see the official wallets with live balances, the game's numbers and EVERY movement out of the treasury, straight from the blockchain. Rule: treasury money only ever goes to the payout wallet, which pays the players' claims.

16. Open source: nothing hidden

All of the game's code is open for anyone to read, download and check (AGPL-3.0 license, on the site itself). This way anyone can verify that the rules in this litepaper — crate odds, the golden rule, the Reef, the Fish Market — are exactly the ones the game uses.

17. Safety

  • We never ask for your secret phrase. Always check the website address.
  • Every purchase is checked on the blockchain before it is delivered; every claim and every sale needs your wallet's signature.
  • The treasury is in a cold wallet; the game only uses small wallets, with daily limits and an emergency pause.

18. Risks — please read

Lurkies is a game. We do not promise profit. Earnings vary and can go down; the price of $LURE can go up or down a lot. On average the Reef pays back at most what went into the pots — those who earn more are lucky with rare Lurkies, join early or benefit from the token going up. Only play with money you can afford to lose. 18+ only.
